Condition Based Service (CBS) sensors constantly monitor fluid levels (e.g. engine oil) or wear-and-tear components (e.g. brake pads). If a service appointment is needed, your BMW automatically transmits all service-related data to BMW. Your preferred BMW Service Partner will call you to arrange an appointment, if necessary. Due to the accuracy of the data relayed, the service appointment can be prepared perfectly with all required components and spare parts – so the vehicle only stays at the Service Centre for a minimum time period. At the press of a button, you can transmit the current vehicle data to our Mobile Care specialists for evaluation. Our specialists are able to remotely diagnose your BMW as if it were in the workshop. With the help of an automatic voice connection our specialists will inform you about the condition of the vehicle and the next steps. They are often able to rectify certain problems remotely. If remote maintenance isn’t possible, a Mobile Care vehicle will be dispatched right away or you’ll be directed to the nearest BMW Service Partner. The vehicle data will be transmitted to the BMW Service Partner to ensure that he’s optimally prepared to service your vehicle.
BMW TELESERVICE BATTERY GUARD.
You parked your BMW and forgot to switch off the lights? No problem − thanks to BMW Teleservice Battery Guard, the practical BMW ConnectedDrive service that prevents battery failure: if the state of charge of the battery drops below a certain level, the BMW Teleservice Battery Guard will inform you or your preferred BMW Service Partner directly or the next time you start the engine. This means you can avoid any starting issues or battery-related malfunctions − as your BMW can now monitor its energy supply itself.

An eye on your battery: in case your battery’s state of charge drops below a certain level, due to parking lights being left on, for example, BMW Teleservice Battery Guard is triggered automatically and informs you immediately by text message or email, depending on which variant you selected in the BMW ConnectedDrive portal. BMW Teleservice Battery Guard stays activated until the next time you start your BMW. If necessary, your preferred BMW Service Partner will get in touch to arrange a service appointment.
Personalisation
The Battery Guard functions are generally available as a basic service from BMW Teleservices. To receive a Battery Guard text message or email, you only need to customise this service in the BMW ConnectedDrive portal by leaving your mobile telephone number or email address. Registration and configuration on the BMW ConnectedDrive portal is a prerequisite to using the BMW Teleservice Battery Guard in its entirety.
